Bitless English, Western, and Trail Riding
Liberty and Groundwork
What is bridleless riding? A bridle is the piece of “tack” (horse equipment) that goes on a horse’s head and that the reins (leather ropes that riders hold) attach to. Bridleless riding is riding without anything on the horse’s head. It requires excellent communication, trust, respect, and understanding between the horse and rider. It’s a more advanced skill set that new riders can appreciate watching, and riders with a more advanced demonstrated skill set can work on.
All horses are kept at pasture in herds so they can be horses and have natural social relationships.
